AT PEACE WITH NATURE
A suite of contemporary commissioned paste-ups entitled THIS IS HERE and YOU ARE HERE are sited across 3 billboards: The Minories artspace in Colchester (Wyre Street) and Jumbo Water Tower in Colchester. Our creative process of billboard design, construction and build - together with our paste-up installations - we recognise as sculptural and performance based as much as visual with our aim of bringing culture and art into the public realm in uncoventional and unique spaces.
AT PEACE WITH NATURE is a series of composition paste-ups representative of the collective results of community ‘print studio’ workshops throughout the summer of 2023. These have included sessions with Firstsite’s Young Art Kommunity (YAK), Level Best Trainees, and Outhouse’s Youth Group and Craft Pride, with each session offering a rich hybrid of wildlife exploration and printmaking processess, nurturing confidence, creativity, community and friendship.
AT PEACE WITH NATURE is the title of a poem by local poet and project participant Mary-Ann Ambrose.

Throughout the day we have lots going on and we welcome you to join us.
AM: Throughout the morning we’ll be pasting up new artworks across all 3 billboards.
12 - 2pm: Volunteers will be cycling around the city centre with artwork trailers, giving
away our limited edition Bourne to be Wild Risograph Prints.
1pm: We welcome you to join us at Jumbo Water Tower and to find out more about our
work and project - if weather permits!
4pm: Informal Bourne to be Wild gathering at the Mercury Theatre bar. Join us!
