Hide in plain sight

Replacing an original five-bar gate, this oak and steel bespoke artwork functions as both a conservation grazing gate and wildlife viewing screen; inlaid with text and quotes representing the many thoughts and perspectives shared by local people. Visitors are invited to experience the spectacular landscape of this wetland nature reserve through the thoughtful placement of viewing spaces, minimising the disturbance of a very sensitive area for nesting waders.
